“We researched manufacturing processes from the beginning of the product lifecycle all the way to the end — cradle to grave,†says Hussey. “We had to see what the environmental impact of each process was, including carbon emissions and how it affected the environment. It was challenging but rewarding.â€

When asked about her most cherished experiences at UL Â鶹´«Ã½app, Emily was quick to respond with, “The unwavering support of the faculty and staff. Dr. Gros and Dr. Sato shaped me into the person I am today.†They challenged her to think creatively and see the body as a holistic entity, not just a collection of parts or injuries.
"The written and interpersonal communication skills I developed as a Mass Communications graduate student helped me land professional roles at the United Nations Office of the High Representative for Special Projects in Africa (New York, NY) and also at the Miami-Dade County Office on Capitol Hill, where I served in the public affairs arena."
