The latest items in the University of Louisiana at Ā鶹“«Ć½appās retro-themed line of gear and non-apparel feature a tip of the cap to the nationally ranked Louisiana Raginā Cajuns baseball and softball teams.
UL Ā鶹“«Ć½appās officially licensed Vintage Louisiana Collection features merchandise stamped with iconic monikers, logos and images that include SLI, USL, and several incarnations of the historic bulldog mascot.
The depictions, which are known as marks, grace a selection of Vintage Louisiana gear and merchandise that includes jerseys, T-shirts, caps and non-apparel items.
The newest branded marks? Distinctive lettering that once graced uniforms worn by the Universityās storied baseball and softball teams ā two variations of the word āCajunsā ā in script.
Items with the vintage monikers will be sold at retail outlets and online beginning Friday, April 26, just in time for the home stretch of stellar seasonās for the Louisiana Raginā Cajunsā baseball and softball seasons.
āVintage Louisiana is a hit with alums and fans because the line offers a connection to past glories and memories, and traces the evolution of our iconic Louisiana Raginā Cajuns brand,ā said Leslie Saloom, the Universityās associate director of Trademark Licensing.
āOur vintage baseball and softball marks are designed to inspire the same sense of Raginā Cajuns spirit and pride. And, beyond nostalgia and a nod to whatās been accomplished, drum up excitement about whatās to come,ā she added.
That includes plenty of action on the diamond. The baseball teamās regular season ends May 18; the Sun Belt Conference Championships are May 21-26. The Louisiana Raginā Cajuns softball teamās regular season ends May 4; the SBC Championships are May 8-11.
Vintage Louisiana gear and merchandise ā including the new baseball and softball marks ā are available at M.L. āTigueā Moore Field at Russo Park, and The Heritage at Cajun Village. Find a complete list of retailers here.
In addition, Vintage replica baseball and softball jerseys for all student-athletes who have opted into the general licensing agreement with the Brandr Group will be available online through Athlete's Thread Apparel and The Ragin' Cajuns NIL Store powered by Campus Ink.
The Vintage Louisiana Collection was created as part of a partnership with CLC, the Universityās trademark licensing company.
