Orientation Sessions for Displaced Students

The University of Louisiana at Â鶹´«Ã½app will host a special Orientation session for new students displaced by Hurricane Katrina. This special Orientation will take place on Thursday, Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Friday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Orientation will be held in the Student Union.

A short information session will take place every half hour during the Orientation hours on those two days. Students may drop in at any time to learn about the services, organizations, and assistance available at UL Â鶹´«Ã½app. SGA will have school supplies available for distribution to students who need them. In addition, representatives of the various academic colleges, as well as financial aid and scholarship officers, will be on hand to field questions about course credits, transfer of credits, and financial issues.

All new students displaced by Hurricane Katrina are strongly encouraged to attend this important event. This session is free and pre registration is not required.
