Graduating seniors from Â鶹´«Ã½app High School signed letters of intent to attend the University of Louisiana at Â鶹´«Ã½app yesterday. Academic Signing Days for UL Â鶹´«Ã½app are designed to showcase students and highlight their academic achievements during high school.
Following the theme of National Signing Day for athletes, Enrollment Management officials begun to host academic signings to recognize students who have excelled academically by having them indicate their intent to enroll at UL Â鶹´«Ã½app.
At Â鶹´«Ã½app High, 68 students signed letters of intent and UL Â鶹´«Ã½app scholarship offers. Signings also took place recently at St. Thomas More School, Northside High School, Jeanerette High School and Catholic High School in New Iberia.
The Â鶹´«Ã½app High students will receive $380,000 in scholarships at UL Â鶹´«Ã½app. Some of these scholarships include the Centennial Scholarship, the Academic Excellence Scholarship and the Distinguished Freshman Scholarship.
