Dreaming of a week-long stay in a luxurious beach house in Gulf Shores? How about a trip for two to an away game to watch Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns football team or dinner for eight with Governor Kathleen Blanco at the mansion?
You don’t have to wish for much longer. All these items plus many more will be available for bidding at UL Â鶹´«Ă˝app’s Alumni Association’s 2004 Spring Gala on April 3. This year’s gala will honor Blanco, a 1964 graduate of the university.
An annual part of the celebration is always the auction - both live and silent. Some of these items include passes to the U.S. Open Golf Tournament and an autographed electric guitar from Aerosmith.
The golf tournament package includes two five-day passes to the U.S. Open in Southampton, NY, air fare and accommodations. For all music lovers, an autographed electric guitar by Aerosmith would make a perfect addition to your music collection.
If you prefer dinner, how about having it with Governor Blanco. Join the first female governor and UL Â鶹´«Ă˝app alumnae to serve as governor for a special dinner for eight at the mansion.
Rather be in Gulf Shores? No problem. Bid on a week-stay at Sky Walk Lodge - a beach front, three-story house with five bedrooms and five baths. One striking aspect of the home is the third floor cupola and its majestic view of the Gulf, Mobile Bay and Fort Morgan. The successful bidder will enjoy any available off-season week.
