Display cases in the stairwell of Dupré Library at the University of Louisiana at 鶹ýapp are filled with books, documents and articles concerning desegregation of schools in Louisiana and throughout the United States.

The exhibit commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark decision in the case of Brown vs. the Board of Education. This decision required that public schools be integrated, declaring that “separate educational facilities are inherently unequal.”

The exhibit, which was created by Louisiana Room Librarian Jean Kiesel, is open to the public through the end of August. Call 482-6396 for more information.
